The dictionary is an invaluable aid to the reading of the authors works.
At the same time describes the dictionary of the Danish language in the Enlightenment, when society and world view changed dramatically.Most words and meanings are illustrated with detailed important information and quotes from Holbergs works.Holberg Dictionary is part of ordnet.dk and published by the Danish Language and Literature (DSL), which has more than 100 years of experience in publishing dictionaries and behind the largest Danish native language dictionaries.
The project is supported by the Carlsberg Foundation.The dictionary also published under the project Ludvig Holbergs writings, which is a collaboration between the University of Bergen and the Danish Language and Literature.
